Mary McCormack, an American actress, is most well-known for playing the lead role in TV shows such as The West Wing "In Plain Sight," as well as Loaded.' Also known for her films roles which include "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. Her parents were a therapist as well as an ice cream shop proprietor, McCormack hails from a family with no direct links to the entertainment field. She was a student at Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the divorce from her parents around 1990, went on to attend Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with a BA degree in comparative arts. At the age of 12 the stage journey began when she performed in "Amahl The Night Visitor, and Amahl" an opera for Christmas. In the theater, the actress performed for years and her roles eventually made it to the screen. The versatility of McCormack is well-known and is still widely recognized. McCormack is married to producer/director Michael Morris and has three children.
